Final Evaluation PE10

As semester two comes to an end I can say that it has been a challenge and a very demanding course. However I believe that in the area of participation I have been successful. There hasn't been a day where I have forgotten my PE strip and I am proud of my self for doing that. My attendance has been pretty good but I may have missed a week or two because I was sick. This was unavoidable but then those days I think that my attendance has been fairly good. Physically and mentally I try prepare myself the best to my abilities by still excersicsing outside of class and telling myself not to give up. I am motivated to do activities that I am comfortable with and that isn't necessarily a bad thing I believe by doing so I can really improve my skill level on certain games and at the same time fun. Now its not that I don't like trying new things this course has caused me to step out of my comfort zone and I have done activities such as pickle ball and atomic volleyball. These are things that sounded very odd to me and things I probabally would have never tried however I always motivte myself to try my best so I gave the activity a shot. These two activites ended up being some of the highlights of this class as well as being my two new favourite activities! Leadership is one of the key aspects to our class and I beleive that there are many examples of good leaders in this class. A good leader isn't someone who constantly has a positive attitude because that is unrealistic everybody has bad days so if you don't feel like giving your 100% thats perfectly fine. A leader is rather someone who never makes another person feel bad about them self and always encourages other people or classmates to try new things and not be afraid to fail. Doing so makes everybody have a positive PE experience. Leaders don't always have to be loud and participate in class discussions but a leader is also someone who stays back and helps clean up the equipment or someone who doesn't lie about their fitness scores. My fitness goals have improved since the beginning of the year I remember the first time we did the beep test and I got a 4! I was really disappointed in myself but I am now proud that I am scoring in the 5's. One of my barriers in my fitness is the fact that I have an iron deficiency this is something I have been struggling with for a year now and it really holds me back from reaching my full potential. I find myself feeling worn out 10 minutes into fitness days but I still try and push myself. Something that I have done to help myself is starting to eat healthier and greener my first step was to make a pint rest board full of healthy recipes. Doing this really motivated me to actually make these foods/drinks. An example of this would be my smoothie blog post. I made an healthy smoothie which consisted of 1/2 cup of milk,1 ripe banana, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, dash of nutmeg, 3 ice cubes. I would have to admit that my blog was lacking in digital evidence this was due to the fact I wasn't able to bring a device to every class. However I believe I have done a pretty good job of maintaining my blog at 17 posts I have a fair amount of information. I understand that I haven't gone above and beyond of the class expectations but I believe that I am at a good middle level. The days when I have provided digital evidence I believe that I did a good job of showcasing the activity that we did and what I learned. In my opinion my summaries have gone in depth and each of my posts shows my effort to showcase my learning and growth that I have undergone in this semester. My future goals would be to try and maintain my fitness level in the summer as well as into next year when I am not going to be taking a PE class. I will do this by joining my family on their afternoon walks around the pond. My family likes to go for a walk after dinner and I believe this is a nice way to enjoy the fresh air and bond with my family. One of the activities we did in class was comment on our peers blogs I commented on Ashley Dosanjh's blog. She had an outstanding blog and I was shocked to learn how in depth she went with her posts. Overall my PE 10 experience has been very positive I have learnt leadership skills, new games and learnt more about my fitness level and how to maintain and improve it. I believe i deserve a G f because I always bring my gym strip and attend every class unless I am sick and this is unavoidable so besides being sick my attendance I fairly good. Grade wise I think I am sitting at a B and around 83%.
